Our hurlers took part in the All County Hurling Finals on Wednesday after winning a very competitive North Antrim competition a few weeks ago.
They played the South West champions, Mount St Michael's of Randalstown and Our Lady Queen of Peace, the Belfast champions. Having won the first game our lads went into the final game against the Belfast champions confidently, however, a bounce of the ball and a one point difference in favour of the Belfast team saw the cup heading south.
A huge thank you to Mr Shivers, All County Cumann na mBunscol secretary, for organising and overseeing a hugely enjoyable event. Our gratitude also to principal of St Louis, Mrs O'Neill for allowing the event to be hosted in her school and to Mr Gillan, Mrs McShane and Mr Cassidy of the St Louis PE department for their support. Huge thanks also to the students of St Louis who officiated so efficiently on the day.
Hard luck to our lads, we are so proud of your achievements on the hurling field this year. Well done to Our Lady Queen of Peace on your fantastic achievement.
