The girls from St Anne's took part in the North Antrim Cumann na mBunscoil camogie blitz today in Fr Healy Park, Loughgiel along with 13 other teams from the North Antrim area. The weather was changeable but the damp conditions didn't dull the girls' enthusiasm in all seven games they played! They did fantastically well, coming out of a tough group to reach the shield semi-final. More importantly, all the girls had a great day of camogie and can't wait for the next run out in the new school kit!
Congratulations to St Patrick's Loughgiel, St Joseph's Dunloy and Glenann schools on winning their respective competitions. A huge thank you must go to Loughgiel Shamrocks and Bobby McIlhatton in particular for allowing us to run the blitz on Fr Healy Park. As usual, Bobby had the place looking immaculate. Thanks also to Curly from the Saffron Gael for continuing to promote Gaelic Games in our schools.
