This morning a boys and a girls team represented St Anne's in the inaugural Cumann na mBunscoil Cross Country Race, held in the grounds of St Louis' Grammar School, Ballymena.
In all, 5 schools from the North Antrim area took part alongside St Anne's; St Patrick's Loughguile, St Brigid's Cloughmills, St Patrick's and St Brigid's Ballycastle, St Brigid's Ballymoney and St Joseph's Dunloy.
Well done to the individual winners on the day who showed impressive stamina and tactical nous over the challenging 1200m course. Congratulations also to St Joseph's Dunloy and St Patrick's and St Brigid's Ballycastle on winning the team awards.
Many thanks to Mr O'Kane and Mr Shivers for co-ordinating, to Mr Gillan, staff and pupils from the PE department in St Louis' for ensuring the event ran like clockwork from beginning to end and to Mr Rafferty for facilitating the event.
The children had a great experience and look forward eagerly to the next Cumann na mBunscoil event!
