I received an email from a family who decided to make use of their Daily Mile by picking up rubbish along the way. They took two bin liners with them thinking they wouldn't fill them but look how much they collected - and that's not all of the rubbish on their road!
This made me think that this might be something more of you would be interested in. You could go for a walk and collect rubbish to clean up your local area while you are out.
As you can see from the photo, these two children were wearing gloves when they were collecting rubbish - this is important as you want to keep yourself safe too and wash your hands as soon as you get home again.
If you do take part in this send your pictures in so we can put them up and show everyone. More importantly, make sure you don't drop rubbish along the road - and if you know anyone who does, tell them to stop! Tell them to take their rubbish home with them and throw it in the bin.
