HIP Psychology Anti-Bullying Workshop

As part of our work for Anti Bullying Week, St Anne's P5, P6 and P7 classes enjoyed a fantastic interactive workshop hosted by Carlos from HIP Psychology. The focus was on what bullying behaviour is, what is not bullying behaviour and how to deal with situations when we feel upset for any reason.

The children learned about physical, verbal, emotional and cyber bullying, the effect it has and what to do if they see it happening to them or anyone else. They also learned that, just like the Ireland Rugby team, we are stronger together and saw how it is important to take responsibilty and say sorry when in the wrong, just like Serena Williams. 

Amazingly, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift were bullied in school for being different- the children saw how those stars dealt with this when they were children and how they embraced their differences so successfully.
