P5/6 Big Schools’ Birdwatch
30th Jan 2025
This year St.Anne’s took part in the RSPB’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch 2025. In preparation we brought in lots of bird seed, fastballs and nuts to attract more birds into our grounds. Some of us even had a go at making our own bird feeders!
Today P5/6 pupils spent about 45 minutes outside trying to spot different birds. They used an ID sheet to help them distinguish between the different species of birds and a survey sheet to record how many they could spot. We had great fun and really enjoyed learning about the different species of birds. We learned that sparrows are quite common in Corkey!
