P7 Coding with Scratch
Our P7s have been working on their coding skills with the MIT programme ‘Scratch’. They have been learning how many electronic devices and machines must be ‘programmed’ with instructions to make them work.
Their task was to write code in ‘procedures’ which tell the onscreen device or ‘sprite’ to change position onscreen using co-ordinates and to draw a snowman using their knowledge of 2D shapes, angles and length. As you will see in the videos, we have some skilled code writers who can use their mathematical knowledge, logic and problem solving skills to complete the task very efficiently.
Well done everyone, a bright future in IT or manufacturing beckons!
