Maths Week Ireland: P7 take on a tricky maths trail!

Our P7 class rounded off a great Maths Week with a Maths Trail around our school today. The children had to read the temperature (a balmy 14 degrees today!!) find acute, obtuse and reflex angles, tally passing vehicles, estimate the perimeter of our yard then measure it, turn though the compass points, find tessellations and find prime numbers in our school grounds. They recorded lots of this on their on their iPads then worked out some problems using the information they gathered. 

They had a great time finding maths in the world around them and developed some useful ICT and teamwork skills as well. Well done everyone!
