Shaking Things Up in P3&4

As part of our World Around Us topic work we have been learning about animals and how they help us. We learned about cows and the different jobs they have. One of their most important jobs is producing milk, from their milk we can make different products to eat and drink.

Today we set ourselves the task of using double cream to make our own butter. All we needed was a jar with a lid, some double cream and lots of arm strength! We poured the cream into the jar and took it in turns to shake the cream until we had butter!

We then got to taste our butter with some crackers. We thought it tasted great😃
