SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL ...!
A week after Shea’s ‘Something Special’ announcement we have another very special ‘Something Beautiful’ announcement from Shea in P1. You may recall Shea’s updates on a ‘garden tiger’ caterpillar (Fluffy) he found some weeks ago and how he decided to nurture Fluffy and care for him through his transformation. He even sent us an update a few weeks ago of Fluffy’s cocoon.
WELL π€ …. Shea and his mum got in touch with the EXCITING NEWS that Fluffy has finally transformed into a butterfly and he is BEAUTIFUL π¦
Shea checked on Fluffy every single day for 4 weeks, making sure he always had fresh leaves and adding a couple of flowers for when he was ready to emerge from his cocoon … so you can imagine the DELIGHT when Fluffly finally emerged earlier today π
Shea and his mum spent about 15 minutes coaxing Fluffy to fly and see the world before he did just that! This precious moment has been captured in the attached videos. I think you’ll agree this was a beautiful moment when you hear Shea and his mum wishing Fluffy well as he flew off to make his way in the world β€οΈ
Some fantastic photographs are attached, including a close-up look into Fluffy’s cocoon where he cosied up for the last month and a look back at the photographs of the original Fluffy when Shea and his mum first found him. Isn’t it amazing to have captured this unique experience and be able to wonder at the marvels and beauty of nature up close!
Shea's mum spoke proudly of Shea’s dedication looking after this tiny creature, not once did Shea lose hope that Fluffy would come full circle and they are both chuffed that it has all paid off π₯°
I am so glad they managed to catch this precious moment on camera. Thank you to Shea and his mum Siobhan for sharing it with us. You have made some wonderful memories during this strange time Shea and when you look back at all of this in years to come I know you will always remember Fluffy... and indeed EVERYTHING you have achieved during this time π
