UPDATED St Anne's PTA/NACN 'Keep Calm and Plant a Tree' project
Continuing with the Mental Wellbeing focus of the past few weeks, St Anne's PTA have partnered once again with the North Antrim Community Network in another excellent initiative: 'Keep Calm and Plant a Tree'.
In 1863 “The Waterford Mail” printed a version of an ancient Turkish adage:
'Plant trees; every young person should plant a tree under whose shade they could recline in their old age.'
Free alder, hawthorn, silver birch or oak saplings will be available from our school on Tuesday 30th March for all families who would like them. There will be at least one sapling available per family.
Thank you to everyone who requested a sapling. Almost every family in our school has requested a sapling which is wonderful to see! Due to the phenomenal demand, we may now be able to supply each family with one sapling only . We will share distribution arrangements soon.
