Under the Hawthorn Tree

Our WAU topic this term is The Irish Famine. The pupils have been reading Under the Hawthorn Tree and enjoying the story about the three Irish children during the potato blight of 1845-50. Charly Ann is enjoying the book so much her mummy bought her her own copy! She spent some of her 'Catch Up' day reading the novel! Well done Charly Ann. We love that you are enjoying reading so much!
