Hello everyone,

Please keep working on activities shared yesterday.

Literacy

JOLLY PHONICS REVISION - Keep singing Jolly Phonics Songs for Sounds 's' 'a' 't' 'i' 'p' – do the actions too! Click the link below for phase 1 sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqFMl6o-4J0

Reading:

Apologies for any confusion with last night’s reading homework.

Tonight, please see new reading book in your child's bag. Introducing books with words - ask your child to point at the word(s) on each page.  Use the picture to predict the word. It is important to keep reading books in bag so we can re-new them daily.

Numeracy

NUMBER 4 - We are working on number 4 this week. Practise writing number 4 and counting out 4 objects.

CUISENAIRE RODS - Wall of Number- Partitioning number. Please see note in your child’s bag.

I have also sent home Cuisenaire rod activities for you to try. Talk about the different rods you have used to complete the different pictures. Talk about the sizes and colours of the rods.

** If anyone still need rods, please email me and I will send some home (mlynn423@c2kni.net) or you may wish to purchase Cuisenaire rods. I've had a look online and the best option I can see which match the rods we use is:  https://www.brightminds.co.uk/products/learning-resources-wooden-cuisenaire-rods?currency=GBP  It really is important that pupils have access to the Cuisenaire Rods for Homework Activities.

**PLEASE KEEP ALL GAMES AND BOOKS IN YOUR CHILD'S BAG AND TAKE CARE NOT TO LOSE ANY BITS**

Thank you and have a lovely evening,

Miss Lynn
