Keep trying to identify the beginning sound of words e.g. pan – what sound can you hear at the start of pan? Cat – what sound can you hear at the start of cat? etc.

READING – Reading w/s

Continue to practise words in 'Here' Book

• Point slowly and accurately at the actual words as they are read

• Ask child to point at specific words on page so they aren't just memorising text through the repetition - e.g. point at look / not etc
• Ask how many words are on this page?
• Ask them to point at the first word, last word, longest word, full stop etc.

READING GAME - Pairs game

Numeracy

MONEY TOPIC - continue to explore playing with and counting 1p coins.  Perhaps set up a shop and label items 3p / 5p etc and ask children to lay out correct number of pennies to buy the items.

Continue to play 'Toy Shop' on Top marks - select 'one coin' and then select '1p up to 10p' tab for P1 level
