Firstly, I would like to say a massive well done to all the boys and girls on their behaviour on our trip to The Grand Opera House yesterday. They were all amazing and we had a truly fantastic day out 😊

PHONICS:  See worksheet in your child's bag for reinforcement of letter sound ‘h’

READING - check your child’s bag each night for their reading.  Encourage your child to point at the words as they are read from left to right.  Encourage your child to point out sounds they know.  Encourage them to attempt simple words which have sounds they know, e.g. is, a, in.  Demonstrate to them how you can use sounds to decode words.  Sign reading record book.

READING FLASHCARDS – A new plastic envelope (Ginn Flashcards) with some of our high frequency words from Ginn is in your child’s bag for them to practise reading.

Please complete pg.25 in Grow in Love Book, ‘What do you like to do with your family?’ If you didn’t get pg. 24 finished in school today, please complete tonight.
