SPELLINGS – Ensure Spelling worksheets for week 11 are complete and learn spellings from WEEK 11.  Please do not move onto worksheets for week 12.

READING – See reading record to check for any new reading tonight

JOLLY PHONICS – We covered the sound 'ar' at school today. Look at the 'ar' sound sheet in your child's Jolly Phonic Book (finish if incomplete from class) and also practise writing 'ar' on adjacent page.

MENTAL MATHS – THROUGHOUT THE WEEK ASK CHILDREN TO QUICKLY RECALL MENTAL MATHS FACTS OF ADDING ON 1, 2, 3 WITHIN 10 AND DOUBLING.  Eg:

Ask – what is 3+3, 2 plus 3, double 5, 7 and 3 more etc.

READING EGGS: A new lesson has been allocated for you part of which focuses on the tricky word 'what'
